Frequently Asked Questions

At Seymour Smiles, we make orthodontics simple, comfortable, and personal. With braces, aligners, and modern technology, we help kids, teens, and adults achieve confident smiles in less time, and with care that feels like family.
How is Seymour Smiles different from other orthodontic offices?
Seymour Smiles combines advanced technology, like iTero® digital scans, with highly personalized care. Patients often finish treatment in about 18 months instead of the typical 24, and every visit is designed to be comfortable and stress-free. We don’t just straighten teeth, we build confidence and lasting relationships.
Yes, you will. Many orthodontic offices rotate patients through staff, but at Seymour Smiles, Dr. Jeff Seymour makes it a priority to see every patient at every visit. This ensures continuity of care, personal attention, and the chance to ask questions directly to your doctor.
Often, yes. If you’re ready to move forward, we can begin treatment on the same day as your consultation. Some families and adults appreciate the convenience, while others prefer to schedule a later start. We’ll always guide you through the options and make sure treatment begins on your timeline.
Phase 1 treatment, sometimes called early intervention, usually starts around ages 6–10. It focuses on guiding jaw growth, creating space for permanent teeth, and addressing habits like thumb sucking or crossbites. Phase 2 treatment happens later, once most or all adult teeth are in, and focuses on aligning teeth and bites for a confident, lasting smile. Not every child needs Phase 1, but when it’s recommended, it can make Phase 2 shorter, simpler, and more effective.
The cost of treatment depends on your individual needs and plan, but we make sure it’s affordable and transparent. At Seymour Smiles, we offer in-house 0% financing, CareCredit options, and accept most major insurance plans and credit cards. Our team will review costs and payment choices with you before treatment begins, so you’ll know exactly what to expect. We’re also here to help with insurance claims and paperwork to keep the process simple.
